Challenge Background
In order to reverse the trend of biodiversity loss and contribute to improving agricultural production in pilot fields, our project investigates the implementation of techniques for the protection of natural regeneration in rainfed crop fields. We do so by identification of volunteer farmers, supervision in the field of natural regeneration, training and implementation of innovative solutions with a focus on effecient water management.
The Issoufou Mahamadou Foundation (FIM) is implementing the "Carbon Sink" project in the Dandadji area (urban commune of Illéla).
